How to cope with mild adult acne?
mandhop asked:
I use sunblock on my face in the morning, and bio oil at night. I wash with Simple ****** wash. And that’s it. Does anyone else suffer from mild adult acne (I’m 34)? Any help would be greatly appreciated….

I’m 30 and I’ve been getting a few whiteheads on my chin like when I was a teenager. I **** them. I still use Oxy to clean my skin but I think I might leave that alone now and see if the whiteheads go forever more.
I got severe adult acne at age 35. I realised I was drinking a ton of Diet Cola for many years and as soon as I stopped drinking it the acne went away too.
It may not be that for you, but it could be something like your diet that is causing it.
Cheers!
I know - you’ve probably heard this before, but washing your face with just water may be the thing. I’ve been doing it now since I was 19.
Stop the ****** wash & try a gentle soap like Aveeno.
It could be hormonal, but I have found that some sunblocks give me spots, especially the type that leave a greasy or sticky film on my skin. I feel as though it attracts dirt and stops my skin from breathing. Some brands that don’t do this are Dermalogica (solar defence booster), Vitage Antioxidant skin protector, and Ultrasun Face30.
My favorite is Ultrasun because it only needs applying once a day.
I’m an acne treatment expert and I must say Acne Free in 3 Days really seems to be one of the most respectable treatment on the market right now.
One of my readers found so much success with the program that he wrote this full review.
1) Cook oatmeal and apply on face for fifteen minutes and wash.
2) Make a warm bath with blanch of nettle and rosemary.
3) Apply equal amount of lemon juice and rose water with a cotton ball and wash it after haif an hour for 15 to 20 days.

Probably the most useful and effective things you can do are to apply hot compresses to pustules and cysts and never to pick or squeeze pimples. Playing with or popping pimples, no matter how careful and clean you are, nearly always makes bumps stay redder and bumpier longer. People often refer to redness as “scarring,” but fortunately it usually isn’t in the permanent sense. It’s just a mark that takes months to fade if left entirely alone.
